About

Hello!
I’m Paulo Silveira. I’m a teacher, programmer and podcaster. Webmaster. Maybe a bit of a science communicator.
On this blog I reflect on technology and everyday life. A bit of culture, films and books too. The site is a mix of blog and wiki, with long posts and short notes, which come from voice messages I send to my Telegram bot (both in Portuguese; a selection is in English). I also keep quotes I collect from books and podcasts. And I do some archaeology of old projects I took part in with a lot of energy, which you can find in the museum (in Portuguese).
The posts and notes also became an index of entities: people, works, companies, places and concepts I cite. And that index becomes a graph: two names are linked when they appear together in at least two texts, and the tags come in as themes. I think this is a mark of my writing: connecting concepts, works and people. I told how this system started in Open Claw, Personal Knowledge and the Second Brain and how it looks after six months.
If you want a site like this one, you can build on two skills I wrote from what went wrong here. personal-pkm-blog explains how to put together a blog that is also a second brain: separate posts and notes, the index, the connections graph, the quotes, the order to build each layer and the contracts between the tools that write into the repository. telegram-claude-assistant is the bot side: how a voice message on Telegram becomes a published note, with a preview and a button, running claude -p on a home server, never failing silently. Hand both to your agent and change the mechanism to fit what you need. There are a few more on the skills page.
Some posts and notes also exist in English. I chose the ones that may interest people outside Brazil, almost all about AI, agents and programming. The translation is done by Claude and marked as reviewed after I read it. The original is always the Portuguese one: each translation points to it, and when I change the original text the build warns me, once a week, that the translation fell behind. I do this thinking of people who read in English and also of the AIs, which answer in English from what they find in English.
I like and know about handbalancing, chocolate and coffee, in that order. I’m very close to my family.
I currently work at Alura, the online tech school I founded, more specifically at Grupo Alun, where I’m the vision lead for education and technology. I talk with students of the group’s schools: PM3, FIAP, Casa do Código and StartSe.
I discuss technology on the Hipsters podcasts and entrepreneurship on Like a Boss, and I keep an eye on IA Sob Controle (all in Portuguese).
