Did I go back to programming?

OpenClaw left me anxious. It’s the first time I feel I am really talking to the computer. It controls the bash on my machine. OK, not on mine, but on a DigitalOcean droplet, where there are already images to spin up OpenClaw.

I know it’s trivial, but talking to your bash terminal via Telegram is interesting:

Even more so when it remembers you used it on another device but kept the same session open, as in the talk I gave yesterday at Builders Camp (in Portuguese). OpenClaw remembered I had tested it in a “live vibe pseudocoding” and wanted to know how it went:

Some time ago I became more of a manager and administrator than a technical person. So anything involving scripts, ssh, dockers and deploys would drain a lot of my valuable (?) manager time. I realized some of the laziness I had could be solved with OpenClaw. By using someone who can type really fast in the terminal and doesn’t need to spend time looking up details of scripts, seds, /etc/configs and more.

Well, the experience has been incredible (and quite expensive in tokens at Anthropic). I have already brought my bot down countless times and got tired of reconfiguring it.

I’m finding it so interesting that I decided to bring this blog back to life. Better: I’m going to use Claude Code to use modern template engine tools. I decided to try Astro. This is my first post, and it is being edited in some random place and I am pasting the text directly into Claude Code:

Editing this post in Claude Code

I have had paulo.com.br since 1997. It was a homepage from when I was studying computer science, it was a blog from when I was taking literature courses. Then it got kind of lost when social networks took over the personal space.

Next steps

  • ✅ Migrate my old posts from WordPress to here, using Claude Code to script it instead of a dump plugin
  • Bring my best newsletters to markdown and to here
  • Use Akita’s vibe-coded editor (in Portuguese) to see whether software like this becomes very personal or actually reusable
  • ✅ Transcribe my 6 monologue podcasts (in Portuguese) from Hipsters Ponto Tech (my podcast, in Portuguese) to here
  • ✅ Try to retrieve my ancient website from the Wayback Machine to keep as history
  • Bring my best posts from the Caelum/Alura blog (the tech schools I co-founded; on OO and inheritance, and others)
  • Via Claude Code, try to integrate my fun facts with OpenClaw so it tweets something relevant directly and takes the screenshot. Throw it on Instagram and the like
  • Focus on skill, identity, soul md and report experiences.
  • Integrate Claw’s Soul.md into Pi to use in Claude Code too.
  • ✅ Make this agent, Beshi, able to write about what it learns with me in blog/tag/agent/
  • Big project: after all this, create a system that understands my posts and podcasts, transcribes, organizes and redistributes them into tweets, newsletters, Instagram carousels and stories in a cohesive way, inside a ‘loop’ that keeps context and compacts context.

Yes, I went back to programming. This is programming. I’ll say more: you should learn to program.
